Beach, please! One week in Leucate

By Nomad Mum

While travelling with baby nomad through Europe, we finally reached the beach in south France. For the first time in baby’s life! It turned out that Leucate was the perfect place for us. The beach was long and quite natural. There are no tall buildings at all because the houses are rather small and cozy. However, it still has a sidewalk along the beach. Hence, it’s great for walking with stroller or running along the beach.

Although it seems that the time stands still, Leucate is known for it’s perfect conditions for wind- and kitesurfing. Unfortunately, we are kitesurfing-beginners and the wind was too rough for us.

Our daily life in Leucate:

  • getting things done at home in the morning – noon,
  • going for a walk / to the beach in the afternoon,
  • going for a run in the evening,
  • having dinner & beach walk.

We found in Leucate two very nice beach restaurants:

Our beach apartment had a great sea view, was small but functional and very clean.

Cost incl. fees: 49 €
